Matthew Quick Named Lone Finalist by Muenster ISD Board of Trustees
Muenster ISD’s Board of Trustees unanimously voted on May 1, 2024 at a called board meeting
to name Mr. Matthew Quick as Lone Finalist for the position of Superintendent. Per state law,
there will be a 21 day waiting period before Mr. Quick can officially be hired as superintendent.
The board anticipates that Mr. Quick will be hired on May 22, 2024 and will assume
superintendent responsibilities within the district in late June or early July. Mr. Quick has served
as High School Principal in Tatum ISD since May of 2017, and prior to this, worked as an
Assistant High School Principal in both College Station ISD and Buffalo ISD. “Over my seventeen
years in education you learn to spot characteristics of successful school districts and Muenster
ISD checks all the boxes! My family and I are looking forward to being a part of the Muenster
community!” Mr. Quick said. Matthew and his wife Naomi have been married for 20 years and
have three children, Ava (17), Carter (14) and Eden (11).
The search to place Mr. Quick as superintendent was a partnership with Impact Education
Specialists, an education consultancy group made up of former and current Texas
superintendents. The board worked closely with this group, teachers, administrators, and
community members to find an exceptional fit for Muenster ISD.
When asked about selecting Mr. Quick as Lone Finalist, School Board President, Mr. Craig
Hartman said, “We are confident Mr. Quick has the leadership and communication skills to build
valuable relationships with our talented teachers, parents and members of the community. We
are excited to welcome Mr. Quick and his family to Muenster and look forward to continuing our
Tradition of Success.” The board anticipates that Mr. Quick will be hired on May 22, 2024 and will
assume superintendent responsibilities within the district in late June or early July.
