TILF Scholarship awarded to Halle H & Macy B

Macy B and Halle H, 2024 graduates of Muenster High School, have been
awarded scholarships by the Texas Interscholastic League Foundation (TILF).

Macy B received the Jim & Marcia Hilsabeck Scholarship, which recognizes success in
the UIL Spelling & Vocabulary contest. She competed at the state level in Spelling &
Vocabulary four times, placing second individually and first as a team in 2024. Macy
plans to double major in journalism and marketing at Texas Christian University.
Halle H received the Larry & Mona White Number Sense Scholarship, given to
competitors in the UIL Number Sense contest. She competed at the state level in
Number Sense twice, placing fifth in 2024. Halle plans to attend Texas A&M
University and major in physics.


TILF scholarships are awarded to students who have participated in the UIL
Academic State Meet and who have compiled an outstanding record of academic and
extracurricular achievement. This year, the TILF awarded 391 new and 236
continuing scholarships with a record-breaking total value of more than $1.3

To be eligible for the TILF program, a student must have advanced to the state level
in a UIL academic contest at least once in their high school career and plan to attend
a Texas college or university. The 2025 scholarship application window will open on
March 1, 2025. All applications must be submitted online by May 23, 2025.
