Muenster Elementary Library STEM Challenge

Muenster Elementary Library STEM Challenge

Fifth and sixth grade students in the Muenster Elementary Library took on a 20-minute STEM challenge: build the tallest freestanding tower using only toothpicks and marshmallows. Along the way, they discovered the importance of a solid foundation and how different shapes can strengthen a structure.

In 5th grade, two teams tied for first place with towers measuring 15.5 inches—Max, Hoyt, & Emmit, and Jacoba, Kimbrie, & Julia.

In 6th grade, Beckett and Nathan claimed victory with a 14.5-inch tower.
