Mrs. Peyton Walterscheid 3rd Graders Take Virtual Field Trip to an Oyster Farm
Learning Beyond the Classroom! 
Mrs. Walterscheid’s 3rd grade class had the opportunity to take a virtual field trip to an oyster farm in the Matagorda Bay and Texas Gulf Coast area!
Through the Texas Farm Bureau’s Farm From School program, students learned about oyster farming and the important role oysters play along the Texas coast. Students listened to oyster farmer Jacob Aparicio share about the farm and followed along in their activity books as they learned. It was a fun way to bring agriculture, science, and the Texas Gulf Coast right into the classroom!
