I am so excited to join Muenster Elementary.  It is a true honor and privilege to get to work with you and your children.  I look forward to establishing great relationships with each of you. 

Philosophy: 

It is our philosophy that school counseling is a vital part of the educational process for ALL students.  As the Elementary School Counselor, it is my goal to provide students a service that encourages academic, personal, and social-emotional growth and development for all kiddos.  My goal is to also promote kindness, positivity, compassion and respect for others in a safe and supportive environment.  I believe every child can have success with the right tools and support.

What I do:

I work with kiddos in several ways.  Once every six weeks, I will visit each classroom for a guidance lesson.  During classroom guidance, I will cover a topic including:

     Respect

     Caring

     Making & Keeping Friends 

     Integrity

     Responsibility

     Self-Esteem

I will also meet with students individually to help kiddos through some of the struggles they may face sometimes when growing up.

Small Groups: 

I facilitate several group sessions each week that we call "Hive of Friends," which are intended to help students develop important friendships and appropriate social skills.

Parent Support:

I will work with parents to provide support when seeking help

Provide information regarding community resources
