Cooke County Youth Fair Results for Muenster ISD Students
January 4 -11 was the annual county livestock show & family consumer science show. Muenster students were very successful!

Muenster High School is Awarded ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Grant
Muenster High School has been awarded the ExxonMobil Education Alliance Grant to help enrich math and science instruction. The grant of $500 was made possible by funding from the ExxonMobil Corporation through Bayer's Kolonialwaren in Muenster, Texas. This grant is part of a program that supports schools in communities that are served by ExxonMobil stations. The ExxonMobil Education Alliance grant will be used for the next generation of students to pursue studies in math and science. FFA & FCCLA Students Honored
The FFA & FCCLA students were honored at the February School Board meeting. Both groups took home many awards and prizes at the Cooke County Youth Fair.
2017 Texas Bluebonnet Readers
Our 3rd - 6th grade Bluebonnet Readers voted in the Texas Bluebonnet Reading Program. The book with the most votes at Muenster ISD was Roller Girl by Victoria Jamieson. Stay tuned for the official state winner announced in February. At the voting party, the students enjoyed pizza & drinks donated by our Muenster ISD PTO.
Coach Stevens 8th Grade Science Class at UNT's Sky Theater
The 8th grade class enriched their Astronomy Unit studying starts and galaxies by going on a field trip to the Sky Theater at the University of North Texas.
Jump Rope for Heart Kick Off
Elementary students learned about how to take care of their hearts, spreading the message to friends and family, and helping others when they can! The American Heart Association came to our campus on January 18th to give our students the 5 For Life presentation– 5 ways kids can make healthy choices!

On Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, our local Veterans, VFW Post 6205, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, community members, and both local schools gather together to honor our veterans, past, present, and future. THANK A VETERAN TODAY and EVERY DAY! Learn their story, and share their legacy so it may live on for our future generations.

Los Dias de los Muertos celebrations - Spanish 1 & 2
Our HS Mentors in Mrs. Sturm's Child Guidance class show our Elementary students how to have a hula-hooping good time at lunch recess.
Kindergarten students in Mrs. Huchton & Mrs. McCoy's classes search for "hidden letters" on the playground using iPads.
5th & 6th Math Classes Connect Concepts to Song - Mrs. Carlile's classes connect math concepts to songs. Students remember the concepts and have fun while in Math class.
National Day of Writing - Mrs. Walterscheid's 6th grade ELA classes connected with students across the country and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art with the help of Connect2Texas for the National Day on Writing. The program, "Say It Like You See It" teaches students to practice the strategies of Descriptive Writing using art pieces at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.
1st Grade Studies Good Citizenship via Skype - The 1st grade students in Mrs. Cook's computer classes study how to be a good citizen in person and on the internet. One way they learn about this is to Skype with citizens in our community such as our administrators. In this picture above, they are Skyping with MISD Superintendent, Mr. Steven Self.
