The Board officially hired Clay Richerson as superintendent at a called board meeting on Wednesday, April 28. He has signed his contract and will begin his first day on Monday, May 3, 2010.
Mr. Richerson last served as the principal at Stamford High School and has a Master of Education with Mid-Management (Principal) and Superintendent Certifications. He also has a Bachelors degree in Chemistry and Math Education. Eighteen years of his experience was in classroom instruction and coaching. He has ten years experience as an administrator. His wife Kenet is a certified Elementary Teacher. They have two grown children.
